We won!

2022-11-09

Dear friend,

What a beautiful sunrise this morning! And did you seen the lunar eclipse?

Also, did you hear yet?

We won!

As reported by the Reformer, "Tristan Roberts, of Halifax, secured his first term in the Vermont Statehouse, defeating his opponent, Republican John Lyddy, of Whitingham, 1,203 to 658."

The turnout in all three towns was great! From the Reformer:

  • In Halifax, Roberts received 256 to Lyddy's 152.

  • In Wilmington, Roberts received 605 votes to Lyddy's 272.

  • In Whitingham, Roberts received 342 to Lyddy's 234.

Here's how the AP reported it:

And here's how it felt last night, in one photo from our celebration in Wilmington:

Thank you for voting. Thank you to our excellent town clerks who maintain our faith and trust in elections. Thank you to the poll workers, and thank you to the the Boards of Civil Authority who counted the votes, late into the night in Halifax.

If you supported my candidacy, thank you. We did it! I'm honored and excited to step forward as the Representative for Windham-6. I love our towns and I love our people and our way of life. I look forward to taking the oath of office in January and doing everything I can legislatively to support our towns.

On that note, thank you to our current Rep for his continuing service through this year, John Gannon. Thank you and a congrats to everyone who ran, including my opponent. Everyone's participation makes the system work.
